Here is the story behind this tote:

On June 18, 2014 then First of Indiana, Karen Pence, joined by her husband, then Governor Mike Pence, met the women of the Indy SurviveOars Geist Reservoir and presented them with Vera Bradley totes. These women are Indiana’s only breast cancer survivor dragon boat team.

Karen Pence said, in part: “It gives me great pleasure to share the Vera Bradley bags with the dragon boat team members,” Pence said. “Vera Bradley’s signature charity supports breast cancer awareness and the continued search for a cure."

The special pink and green floral Vera Bradley bags were designed for Pence’s inaugural First Lady Luncheon in April, 2014 in support of the Indiana First Lady’s Charitable Foundation. This tote has one zip pocket on the front of the bag. Inside the bag is an open compartment with no pockets or dividers. Perfect for lunch, picnics, or travel.
