Wild Strawberry
A ground hugging heerbaceous perennial groundcover native to the Rocky Mountains. It grows 4-7" tall and spreads with stolons. It has dark green three lobed leaves with red stems and white flowers thru the summer. It then provides a bounty of small but tasty strawberries that can be eaten raw or cooked into pies. It is one of the parents of commercial strawberries.
