CARSIL is a non-prescribed Sopharma solution containing silymarin, which is used for the symptomatic of chronic toxic liver damage; for maintenance treatment in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of the liver and liver cirrhosis. The active substance in Carsil, silymarin, is isolated from the fruit of the plant white thorn. Silymarin activates protein and phospholipid synthesis in damaged liver cells, stabilizes their cell membranes, binds free radicals (antioxidant action). Its main action is to protect the liver cells from the harmful effects of various factors such as alcohol, medicines, viral infections, industrial pollutants. In the case of damage to the liver cells, it promotes their faster recovery.
Dosage Adults and adolescents :
The capsules are taken orally with a sufficient amount of liquid.
Adults and adolescents :
Treatment of severe liver damage begins with a dose of 1 capsule 3 times a day.
In mild and moderate cases, the dosage is 1 capsule 1-2 times a day.
For the prevention of chemical intoxication - 1-2 capsules daily.
The course of treatment lasts no less than 3 months.
Children under 12 years of age
There is insufficient clinical data for use in children.
If you have taken more than the required dose of Carsil Max capsules
If you forget to take Carsil Max capsules
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, take it as usual. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Each coated tablet contains :
200-275 mg milk thistle, dry refined and standardized extract (Silybi mariani exiractum siccum raffinatum et normatum) (35-50; 1), equivalent to 110 mg silymarin, recalculated as silibinin.
