The Drain Pump is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire front load washers. Located inside the base of the washing machine tub, it actively pumps out water through the drain hose after each cycle completion. Efficient drainage is vital for preventing standing water issues.

Causes of a bad drain pump can include mineral or scale buildup within the pump chamber or impeller over time. The water valve may fail to open fully, blocking drain flow. Bearings may wear, causing the impeller to jam.

Symptoms of a bad drain pump are:

• Incomplete water draining after the cycle
• An accumulation of water remaining in the tub
• Leaking from the base
• Error codes could indicate drainage problems.
