A Fable is short story, typically with animals as characters, conveying a moral.

This sampler is re-charted from old Filet Crochet charts, depicting 9 different Jean de La Fontaine fables: The stories for every fable are not included in the sale of the cross stitch pattern and are easy found on internet. I also provide the French name of the fable, so you can also “google” in French if interested.
