Anamatomelo - Heather (Annama) Honey
One of the most special honeys is Anama honey, which comes from autumnal heath.
The autumnal reticulo is almost bronze in color, with a strong aroma
of "carrot" and "woody" caramel notes and a pungent taste.
It comes from the heather of vertebrate (Erica manipuriflora),
a shrub with purple flowers that bloom in autumn.
A 2012 study found that heather honey had the highest phenol content.
