Cyclo 505 Series - Unleash Your Ride
The Magellan Cyclo 505 and 505hc are powerful cycling GPS computer designed for the serious cyclist. Cyclo 505 models were the first GPS computers to introduce wireless Di2 ANT support, ANT+ trainer control and Bluetooth Smart sensor support and the first to add: Wi-Fi, wireless music control and call / text notifications/alerts. All Cyclo 505 models come with a vibrant 3-inch color touchscreen easily read in direct sunlight. They are rugged and water resistant (IPX-7) and include universal and out-front mounts. With its simple user interface the Cyclo 505 and 505hc are ready to go right out of the box, swipe sensitivity and large buttons make it easy to use even when hands are gloved. Cyclo 505hc include an ANT+ speed and cadence sensor and heart rate monitor.
Bluetooth and WiFi Connectivity
Get away, but stay connected with Cyclo 505 models. Once paired with a compatible Android or iPhone riders will see incoming calls and text notifications on the display. If you own a Bluetooth headset you can even answer incoming calls. 505 models also control your music playlists for when you need a little motivation. Immediately share your ride by wirelessly uploading it to Cyclo's website and it will automatically share your riding history with Strava, Edomondo and Training Peaks.
Custom Riding Profiles
Optimize your ride by creating up to 6 custom cycling profiles (ex. road, off-road, indoor). Once created and selected Cyclo 505 and 505hc will show routes specifically designed for that profile, riding equipment and style. For mountain biking profiles the routes suggested will show what percentage of the route is unpaved. Cyclo 505 models will even let you assign and keep track of sensors for each specific profile so you no longer have to search for attached sensors.
Built-in Maps + Where Am I
Cyclo models come preloaded with detailed road and OpenStreetMap (OSM) crowd sourced USA maps. Thousands of cycle lanes and tracks are available and cycling points of interest (POI) are visible along the route. Find new routes or record and share your own. Magellan's Cyclo's 505 models Where am I feature displays your exact coordinates (latitude and longitude) with a map overlay right on the unit. Using Bluetooth connectivity your coordinates can be sent via a text message to your emergency contact.
Surprise Me
Select a destination or input a distance or time interval and Cyclo 505 and 505hc will create up to 3 routes for a rider to choose that approximates the inputted data. The routes displayed will show elevation gain, difficulty and amount unpaved so you can pick the one best suited for your riding style and equipment. 'Surprise Me' is perfect for riders looking for routes in an unfamiliar location, seeking graded loops, training for a sportive or searching for off road trails.
Shimano Di2 Compatibility
Looking to improve your performance? Magellan's Cyclo 505 and 505hc models read and record shifting information from compatible XTR and road electronic bicycle shifting systems with the Di2 wireless unit and D-Fly data management systems. Di2 information can be customized to display in either gear position, gear number or if the rider prefers visually by a chart or graph. Battery status and alerts or warnings are also visible right on the device.
ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart Sensor Support
The Magellan Cyclo 505 models come with ANT+ accessory support for speed/cadence, power meters and heart rate monitors. Cyclo supports over 180 ANT+ sensors and monitors with the number of supported devices constantly growing. Cyclo 505 and 505hc also support select ANT+ indoor trainers and are the first GPS computers to add Bluetooth Smart device compatibility for devices like headsets and ear buds.
