A genuine 1917 Silver Shilling  'The Kings Shilling', as this was the coin given to serving British military when they signed up for war duties.

The coin measures 23.7mm across, and is 1.5mm deep.

Struck by the Royal Mint from sterling silver, responsible for striking English coins since 896AD, more than 1100 years!

As with most silver coins from this era, there is slight wear visible - but considering it's age, this coin is in very good condition.
