What Aspirin Cardio is and what it is used for

Aspirin Cardio contains acetylsalicylic acid. Aspirin Cardio tablets are used to inhibit blood clotting (platelet aggregation) in the following situations:

    unstable angina

    acute myocardial infarction,

    prevention of recurrent myocardial infarction,

    after coronary artery surgery,

    prevention of transient ischemic attacks and stroke, early stage of the latter condition,

    prevention of coronary artery thrombosis in patients with high risk factors,

    prevention of venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism after long-term limb splinting.

Composition:

The active substance is acetylsalicylic acid. Each tablet contains 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid.

The other ingredients are cellulose powder, maize starch, 30% dispersion of a 1: 1 copolymer of methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate, talc, triethyl citrate.

Method of use:

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Unstable angina pectoris, prevention of recurrent myocardial infarction, after coronary artery surgery. 1-3 tablets per day.

Acute myocardial infarction. 1-2 tablets per day.

Prevention of short-term cerebral ischemic attacks and cerebral infarction. 1-3 tablets per day.

Prevention of coronary artery thrombosis in patients with multiple risk factors. It is recommended to take 1-2 tablets daily or 3 tablets every other day.

Prevention of venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism after long-term limb splinting. 1-3 tablets per day.

The full daily dose can be taken immediately.

Aspirin Cardio tablets are best taken at least 30 minutes before a meal with plenty of water.

 

Patients with kidney problems

Aspirin Cardio should not be used in patients who have severe problems with their kidneys.

Aspirin Cardio should be used with particular caution in patients with impaired renal function, as acetylsalicylic acid may further increase the risk of renal impairment and acute renal failure.

Patients with hepatic impairment

Aspirin Cardio should not be used in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

Aspirin Cardio should be used with particular caution in patients who have problems with their liver.
