Vintage original 27 x 41 in. US one-sheet poster from the 1950s detective agency-themed action/adventure comedy, PRIVATE EYES, released in 1953 by Allied Artists and directed by Edward Berends, in which after being punched in the nose, Sach finds out that he has the ability to read minds. Slip and the gang start-up a detective agency try to cash in on Sach's new powers. The cast includes Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, Joyce Holden, Bernard Gorcey and Robert Osterloh.
Unrestored and folded as originally issued, it is in fine+ condition as shown with a Canadian censor stamp in the upper right background area. The rich colors are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
Private Eyes was the thirty-second of forty-eight Bowery Boys movies released from 1946 to 1958. When Slip asks Sach if he thinks the office is "Yucca Flat", he is referring to a portion of the Nevada Test Site where nuclear weapons were being tested - frequently at the time of this film, so audiences of the time would be familiar with this location reference.
