Priority mail methods are too expensive for some of my items, would like to list USPS parcel select as an option for my customers but cant see the option.

USPS web tools no longer offers Parcel select…it is called Retail ground (ie standard shipping)…also if the distance shipped is within the zones 1-3 of your shipping address, the retail ground is not even offered as an option…choosing retail ground will only appear as a shipping option (click n ship…or with webtools at USPS) if the zip code is already known and if it is further than zone 3 from your location…
Since the zip code is unknown until after the buyer enters it..the option will not or does appear
Other sites that still offer a standard shipping (retail ground or parcel select) for closer zones as an option are not using USPS web tools to calculate shipping prices…
The best option would be to use a flat rate (determined by you as a fair shipping price) and choose the standard shipping option under flat rate

I have been ASKING for Calculated Parcel Shipping for the same reason for YEARS so Good Luck. Shipping Costs can really MAKE OR BREAK a SALE. Cant really go FLAT RATE as it DOES MATTER for Large or Heavy or Distance shipping. My answer here may get flagged as management don’t like it too much when we have a GOOD Suggestion but they don’t wish to deal with it (for whatever reason).
There seems to be a certain amount of censorship (which is wrong especially when we speak the Truth) on these community help subjects.

They used to have this around 5 years ago. I cannot remember why it was not offered anymore. I do know it was around the time that the name was changed by the USPS.
