In the last 2 days, I received about 15 orders for one high end item—all different customers; paid with paypal. Customers opened a new account to buy, but that seems to be my customer base since I sell new and they come in from google.
However, Paypal got nervous about the activity and limited my account. Should I be concerned?
The item is a humminbird Fishfinder—Cost $564 I have plenty, that’s no problem, but I can’t seem to get ahold of anybody at Bonanza and it really is time sensitive.

I had that happen to me last year at this time. I got 8 or 9 orders in one day for the same $300 item, all within a couple of hours of each other. I was leary so I googled the address’s and they were all either “drop boxes” or freight forwarding address’s.
I was nervous about the sales, so I just cancelled them all and refunded. That same day Paypal “flagged” my account. A few days later Paypal notified me that all the sales were fraudulent. I’m glad that I had cancelled the orders.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
