Seller Spotlight: ECUALAMA
Hi, Shelly here. Occasionally we like to use the blog to shine a spotlight on some of our great sellers. We have a wonderfully diverse group of sellers on Bonanza, with a lot of small businesses you might want to support. I interviewed ECUALAMA this week to learn how their business started, what makes them tick, and what advice they have for other sellers. I'm excited to introduce you to Nataliya!

How did ECUALAMA get its start?
I moved to Ecuador from Russia, and one day I met a man in a park in Quito who sold snail cream. He had jars with cream and live snails. I decided it was an interesting product, so I bought it and sent it to my friends in Russia. A week later, they asked me to send them 10 more jars. I sent it to them and opened a Bonanza account, deciding that this product would be of interest to many. After that, I added some blankets to the booth, which the artisan families weave from alpaca. It was 8 years ago. This is how I started Ecualama: snail cream and alpaca blankets.
What advice would you give to new sellers starting out for the first time?
My advice for new entrepreneurs: patience and faith in your abilities. Success doesn't come with the first sale, you must work hard and do it honestly to earn the respect and love of your customers.
What is your favorite part about selling on Bonanza?
Bonanza is a great opportunity for anyone to try to create their own business in healthy competition.
Do you have a favorite quote you'd like to share?
The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
What do you like to do when you are not maintaining your booth?
In my free time, I play tennis and run through the eucalyptus forest, where you can meet llamas and alpacas. These amazingly beautiful animals give me a lot of strength and help me see a lot of beauty around.

Hi Bettys_Goodies! Thanks for asking about advertising. We do some advertising of the Bonanza site, but we concentrate our efforts on the actual items for sale on Bonanza. Except for the ten new, branded items in your booth that are missing a UPC, all of your listings are being advertised on Google Shopping. Shoppers will be brought to your listings directly. We bear the entire cost of the ads and you pay only your final value fee when your items sell. If you have any other questions about how advertising works our support team is waiting with answers! Hi Joel! I looked up the order you made today. To contact the seller to find out when to expect your item to be delivered, log into the Bonanza account associated with your purchase. Hover your mouse over the “Account” link in the upper left-hand corner of any page, then select “Account dashboard” from the menu. Click the “All purchases” link in the “Recent purchases” bar. Locate the order in question, then use the “Send them a message” link under the seller’s username to send them a direct message. The subject line will include your username and order number so the seller can easily locate your order and offer assistance. If you have any trouble just write to [email protected]. Great story and odd item of snail goo, who would have known.
40,000 points to have a spotlight wow. Maybe in 3000 years I might have enough of claiming 5 points a day. Seems like a non realistic goal.
