For kayaking or backpacking it's perfect . Compact
and well made and the price leaves you with some
money for other gear . It is a one man tent but large
enough for gear and you . All tents should be seam
sealed after stretching on a few trips . It's the size
of a loaf of bread when packed , about 7" X 11" in it's
bag . The stakes are good for soft ground but I like
the nail type for hard ground so I take both . It don't
come with poles that have to be laced through sleeves .
You can use about anything 42"plus inches long or even two trees to hold the crest up . No poles to keep up with is a big plus for me . I love it .
